Learn how to download, install, and use GitBook AI desktop app with cloud sync and license codes.
Getting Started
Download the app
Visit the homepage to download the latest version of GitBook AI for your operating system and device chip.
- •Go to the homepage and choose macOS for your Mac chip, or Windows for your PC
- •Wait for the download to complete
- •Open the downloaded file to begin installation
Install the app
Follow the installation steps for your operating system:
macOS
Download the .dmg that matches your Mac chip: Apple Silicon/M series for newer Macs, or Intel for older Macs. Open the file and drag GitBook AI to your Applications folder. You may need to allow apps from unidentified developers in System Settings.
Windows
Run the .exe installer and follow the on-screen prompts. The app will be installed in Program Files.
Sign in to your account
When you first launch GitBook AI, you'll need to sign in to your account to activate cloud sync features.
If you don't have an account yet, you can register for free on the website.
Cloud Sync
Cloud sync allows you to access your AI coding knowledge across devices. Here's how to activate it:
Trial Code (7 days)
New users can redeem a trial code for 7 days of cloud sync access. Trial codes are distributed through official channels.
Supporter Access
Users who have made a one-time support to help GitBook AI development receive cloud sync access as a thank you. The duration depends on the support tier.
